A touch of lace at the shoulders and an uneven split hem turn a basic black tee into something a little more special. It is knit from the bottom up and in the round with lots of positive ease using a comfy, washable merino cotton yarn. Fine finishing details like a twisted rib hem and I-cord bind offs at the armholes and neck openings will make this tee a staple basic in your wardrobe. Knitting one in every colour is encouraged.
Yarn Requirements & Finished Measurements
Cascade Yarns Anchor Bay 100 g / 262 yds (240 m); 50% Cotton, 50% Superwash Merino Wool in 05 Black. If substituting yarn, make sure to adjust the pattern accordingly, as 10% has been added to all lengths because this yarn does shrink up when washed.
Shirt is to be worn with 4-8” positive ease. Model is wearing size S with 6” / 15 cm of positive ease.

Needles & Notions
US6 / 4mm long circular needle for body, plus an extra needle for three needle bind off, US4 / 3.5mm short circular or double pointed needles for armholes, markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn, darning needle.
Gauge
22 sts and 28 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch. Gauge swatch has been washed and tumble dried as per ball band instructions.
